The stamps depict the birds belted kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon), the giant kingfisher (Megaceryle maxima), and the grey-headed kingfisher (Halcyon leucocephala).

The stamps depict the belted kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon) and the red-and-green macaw (Ara chloropterus).

Terence has sent this very nice cover from Singapore, thank you! It was posted on August 23 and arrived on September 1, 2017.

The two stamps on top are part of the “Kingfisher” stamp set, which was issued on April 26, 2017. The stamps depict the black-capped kingfisher (Halcyon pileata) and the blue-eared kingfisher (Alcedo meninting).

The bottom stamp was issued on August 8, 2017. It is part of the joint issue stamp series of the ASEAN postal operators and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the ASEAN foundation. The stamp depicts the national flower of Singapore, the orchid Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’.

The left stamp depicts the shining-blue kingfisher (Alcedo quadribrachys). The right stamp depicts the palm cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus).

Estonia 140416Another very nice cover from Estonia was sent by Evald, thank you! The cover was posted in the very small village of Anne (47 inhabitants) on April 16 and arrived on April 22, 2014.

The left stamp (issued March 20, 2014) commemorates the “Bird of the Year”: the common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis). The right stamp commemorates the “Bird of the Year ” 2013: the grey partridge (Perdix perdix). The stamp was issued on March 7, 2013.

The definitive stamp below was issued on February 19, 2014.

The left stamp depicts the butterfly cruiser (Vindula arsinoe). It is part of a set, which was issued on May 4, 2004. The right stamp commemorates the Blue-winged Kookaburra (Dacelo leachii).

It was posted on May 8, 2010. The special cancellation commemorates the London 2010 International Philatelic Exhibition from May 8 to May 15, 2010. The stamps are part of the 2006 definitive series, which was issued on December 31, 2006. The stamps depict the Fork-tailed Sunbird (Aethopyga christinae), the Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), and the Little Egret (Egretta garzetta).

It was posted on December 19, 2009. Jean Pierre used three stamps of the “Birds of Prey” definitive set (issued December 31, 2006). The three depicted birds are the White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster), the Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), and the Little Egret (Egretta garzetta).

The right stamp was issued on January 17, 2009, and commemorates the Year of the Ox.
