My first cover from Yemen was sent by Omar, thank you!
It was posted in Sana’a on December 7 and arrived on December 31, 2013. Interestingly, the stamp was cancelled with the Austrian postmark “WIEN mc 1000” too.
The attached stamp is part of the set “Heritage Sites”, which was issued on September 26, 1996. It commemorates the old city of Sana’a.
Omar included a postcard, which shows a view of Shibam with its famous mudbrick-made tower houses.
