The stamp depicts the Arabian bustard (Ardeotis arabs). It is part of the WWF stamp set, which was issued on July 10, 2017.

This beautiful cover from Greece was sent by Nikolaos, thank you very much! It was posted in Perama on June 1 and arrived on June 6, 2018.

The left stamp is part of the set “Greek Philatelists”, which was issued on November 16, 2017. It commemorates Charilis Binos (1909–1978). The right stamp is part of a set, which commemorates the World Bee Day on May 20. It depicts some honey bees (Apis mellifera).

Rasmane included a postcard, which depicts the Grand Séminaire Saint Pierre Claver de Koumi.

On June 26 I received this nice cover from Ivory Coast, thank you, Barry! It was posted on June 8 in Abidjan.

The left stamp depicts the first post office in Grand-Bassam. The right stamps commemorate the African green pigeon (Treron calvus), although the stamp’s inscription says “Treron Vinago Australis”.

Barry included a nice postcard of Bassam too.

Here is another very nice cover from Portugal, which was sent by Vítor, thank you! It was posted in Santo António dos Cavaleiros on February 20 and arrived on February 22, 2018.

The attached stamps are part of the set “Native Livestock Breeds of Portugal”, which was issued on February 8,2018. It commemorates the cattle breeds Barrosã and Mertolenga.

Wolfgang has sent this beautiful registered cover from Aitutaki, thank you very much! It was posted on April 16 and arrived on May 7, 2018.

The left stamp commemorates the short-finned pilot whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus).  The right stamp commemorates the Chinese Year of the Rooster.

The UPU registered sticker can be found on the back of the cover.

The two stamps on the left commemorate the Lake Malawi. They are part of a set, which was issued on April 25, 2014. The right stamp depicts the white-tailed crested flycatcher (Elminia albonotata).

My first cover from Guyana was arranged by Wolfgang and sent by Mark, thank you! It was posted on December 8, 2017 and arrived on January 9, 2018. It was delivered by GLS.

The left stamp depicts a jaguar (Panthera onca). It is part of the definitives set, which was issued on February 26, 2014.

The right stamp was cut out of a mini-sheet, which was issued on December 23, 2013. It commemorates the Dominican ground lizard (Ameiva fuscata).

#1133 Australian Antarctic Territory 17/10/01

On December 19 I received this beautiful cover from the Australian Antarctic Territory. It was cancelled on October 1 at the Davis Station, many thanks to the postmaster of Davis!

The stamp set was issued on March 7, 2017. It is entitled “East Antarctic Deep Sea Creatures” and depicts the Antarctic sea star (Odontaster validus), the Antarctic neosquid (Alluroteuthis antarcticus), a Pogonophryne ssp. and Antarctic pink anemone (Urticinopsis antarctica), and the Dorid nudibranch (Tritoniella belli) and deep sea coral.

Tristan has sent this very nice cover from the Bahamas, thank you very much! It was posted in Freeport on February 6 and arrived on February 27, 2017.

The three stamps on top and the bottom right one are part of the “Marine Life” set, which was issued on January 3, 2012. They depict the hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), the Christmas tree worm (Spirobranchus giganteus), the purple sea fan (Gorgonia ventalina), and the red cushion seastar (Oreaster reticulatus).

The bottom left stamp is part of the set, which commemorates the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The bottom middle stamp depicts the butterfly zebra longwing (Heliconius charithonia).

The two stamps on top are part of the “Kingfisher” stamp set, which was issued on April 26, 2017. The stamps depict the black-capped kingfisher (Halcyon pileata) and the blue-eared kingfisher (Alcedo meninting).

The bottom stamp was issued on August 8, 2017. It is part of the joint issue stamp series of the ASEAN postal operators and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the ASEAN foundation. The stamp depicts the national flower of Singapore, the orchid Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’.

The stamps are part of the mini-sheet “Pigeon Island Marine National Park“, which was issued on August 22, 2014. The stamps depict the knotted fan coral (Melithaea ochracea), the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus), and the blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus).

TAAF 100409Here is anothe beautiful cover from the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, which was sent by Jean Pierre, thank you very much! The cover was cancelled with postmark of Martin-de-Viviès  on April 4 and arrived on September 24, 2010.

The left stamp was issued on January 1, 2010. It is part of the “minerals” series and depicts a tourmaline crystal. The three stamps on top are part of the “Elephant Seal” mini-sheet, which was issued on January 1, 2008. The stamp on the right depicts a pyrite crystal. It was issued on January 1, 2009.

On the back there is the mission cachet of the 61st mission.

The left stamp was issued on December 7, 2009. It commemorates the 65th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The stamp set on the right was issued on March 27, 2017. It depicts the lizards Luzon Bicolored Earth Skink (Brachymeles bicolor), Philippine False Gecko (Pseudogekko brevipes), Gigante Limestone Gecko (Gekko gigante), and Striped Tree Skink (Lipinia pulchella).
