Wolfgang has sent this amazing cover from the British Antarctic Territory, thank you very much! It was posted in Port Lockroy on December 21, 2022 and arrived on January 24, 2023.

The stamps depict some Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) and emperor penguins (Aptenodytes forsteri).

It was posted on Horseshoe Island on February 3 and arrived on March 23, 2017.

The stamp is part of the “Penguins” stamp set, which was issued on November 19, 2014. It depicts the Gentoo penguin (Pygoscelis papua).

BAT 150114Here is another beautiful cover from the British Antarctic Territory. This one was sent by Jean Pierre, thank you! It was cancelled at Signy Station on January 14 and arrived on February 6, 2015.

The stamps are part of the set, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of BAT stamps. The set was issued on November 27, 2013.

BAT 141027On November 10, 2014 I received this very nice cover from the British Antarctic Territory. It was posted on October 27 at the Rothera Research Station on Adelaide Island.

The stamps are part of the set “Naval Aviation Week”, which was issued on January 1, 2009. The stamps depict the airplanes Supermarine Walrus and Fairey Seafox.
