The right stamp depicts a painting by Sarah Featon, which depicts fruits and leaves of the Karaka tree (Corynocarpus laevigatus).

The stamps depict a lizard, a lemon fruit and flower (Citrus limon), and a chestnut-breasted mannikin (Lonchura castaneothorax).

The stamps depict the ultramarine lorikeet (Vini ultramarina) and the crimson shining parrot (Prosopeia splendens).

The middle stamp commemorates the cardinal honeyeater (Myzomela cardinalis). The bottom left stamp depicts a giant clam.

#1288 Australian Antarctic Territory 20/03/16

On August 12, 2020 I received this very nice cover from the Australian Antarctic research station on Macquarie Island. It was cancelled on March 16, 2020. A big thank you goes to the postmaster there! The island is part of the state of Tasmania, but the station is managed by the Australian Antarctic Division.

The stamp set was issued on August 20, 2019. It is entitled “Mapping the Australian Antarctic Territory”.

The left stamp commemorates the Norfolk Island hibiscus (Lagunaria patersonia). The right stamp commemorates the red-tailed tropicbird (Phaethon rubricauda).

The cover is a stationery, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Australian Pig Breeders Association (1909–2009). The left stamp depicts an echidna. The right stamp commemorates the invention of spray-on skin cells.

The top left stamp depicts the Pipi Tui flower (Hernandia moerenhoutiana), the bottom left stamp depicts the Cananga tree and flowers (Cananga odorata). The next stamp commemorates the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera).

The next stamp depicts flowers of Coleus amboinicus. Finally, the right stamp commemorates the butterfly “dark cerulean” (Jamides bochus).
