#622 Kuwait 13/01/14

Farjam sent me this large registered cover from Kuwait, thanks! It was posted in the Souk Al-Dakhly of Kuwait City on January 14 and arrived on January 21, 2013. On the back there is an additional cancellation of the “Mail Storing Center – Kuwait” dated January 15, 2013.

The top stamps commemorate the 40th anniversary of the inauguration of the Kuwait University. They are part of a set of four, which was issued on March 25, 2007.

The middle stamp (with an ornamental field) is a joint issue of Kuwait and Romania and commemorates 45 years of diplomatic relationships between the two countries. It was issued on June 21, 2008.

Finally the two stamps on bottom are part of a 2009 set, which commemorates the “18th Anniversary of Liberation Day 26-2-2009”.
