The left stamp depicts a painting of Eschen. It is part of the “Villages” set, which was issued on March 4, 1996.

The right stamp is part of the “Flowers” set, which was issued on June 1, 2015. It depicts an oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare).

The top left and bottom right stamp are part of the “Butterflies and Flowers” set, which was issued on September 6, 2013. The stamps commemorate the Great Eggfly (Hypolimnas bolina) sitting on a Tahitian gardenia (Gardenia taitensis) and a meadow argus (Junonia villida) sitting on an elder (Sambucus nigra).

The top right stamp is part of the set “Royal Baby – Prince George of Cambridge“, which was issued on August 30, 2013.

The bottom left stamp are part of the “Fungi” set, which was issued on September 8, 1997. They depict the anemone stinkhorn (Aseroe rubra) and the fungi Marasmiellus semiustus.

The left stamps are part of the set “Antiquity of Laos”, which was issued on January 3, 2009. The middle stamp is part of the “Orchids” stamp set (issued May 22, 2011) and depicts a flower of the Paphiopedilum barbigerum species.

The right stamp is part of the mini-sheet, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of the first Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge over the Mekong. The sheet was issued on April 8, 2014.

The stamp set on the left is of a mini-sheet, which was issued on October 7, 2012. The stamps depict the common sunflower (Helianthus annuus), the binara flower (Exacum trinervium), the shoe flower (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis), and the frangipani flower (Plumeria rubra).

The right stamp is part of a stamp set, which was issued on March 10, 2012. It depicts a guardstone at Rathanaprasadaya.

The left stamp is part of the set “Winter Flowers”, which was issued on February 14, 2014. The two stamps on the right commemorate the trains Congressional and 20th Century Limited. The stamps are part of the “Trains” stamp set (issued on August 26, 1999).

The left stamp in the first row depicts the lizard Gonocephalus grandis. It is part of the set “Endangered Reptiles”, which was issued on September 28, 2005. The second stamp (part of the set “Protected Mammals”; issued July 27, 2005) commemorates the yellow-throated marten (Martes flavigula). The next stamp depicts the leaf scorpionfish (Taenianotus triacanthus). It is the 2006 joint issue of Malaysia and Brunei. The next stamp is part of the set “Traditional Transportation” (issued on August 18, 2004) and depicts a rickshaw. The four stamps on the right are part of the set “Garden Flowers”, which was issued on July 1, 2010. The stamps depict the flowers Canna indica.

The stamp set in the second row (issued on June 28, 2003) depicts the islands and maps of Ligitan and Sipadan.

In the third row there is the stamp set “Pitcher Plants”, which was issued on April 6, 1996. It commemorates the plants Nepenthes sanguinea, N. macfarlanei, N. rajah, and N. lowii. The stamp on the right (issued on May 8, 1998) is part of a set that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.

In the last row there is the stamp set, which commemorates the 2000 International Union of Forestry Research Organisations Conference in Kuala Lumpur. The set was issued on August 7, 2000. The stamp on the right is part of the 2010 “Garden Flowers” set too and commemorates the Indian lotus (Nelumbo nucifera).

The left stamp is part of the set, which commemorates the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. It was issued on May 30, 1991, and depicts the ship Santa María.

The next stamp depicts the flower Strelitzia reginae. It is part of a set, which was issued on December 23, 1976. The middle stamp (issued May 5, 1980) commemorates the visit of Pope John Paul II.

The next stamp is part of the “Flowers” set (issued May 10, 1996) and depicts the cornflower (Centaurea cyanus). The right stamp commemorates the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. It is part of a stamp set, which was issued on July 30, 1964.

The middle stamp commemorates the tree Mitragyna rubrostipulosa. It is part of the “Flowers” stamp set (issued June 26, 1995). The right stamp is part of the “Primates” stamp set, which was issued on December 1, 2011. It depicts the olive baboon (Papio anubis).

The left stamp was issued on September 3, 2013. It is part of the set “Wild Flowers of India” and depicts a Blue Poppy (Meconopsis sp.). The mini-sheet depicts Mahatma Gandhi and commemorates the philatelic day. It was issued on Oktober 12, 2013.

The left stamp is part of the flowers definitives series and depicts a Tagetes species. The right stamp was issued on September 11, 2011. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Elbe Tunnel in Hamburg.

Romania 130717Thank you, Jean Pierre, for sending this beautiful cover from Romania! It was posted in Bucharest on July 17 and arrived on July 19, 2013.

The cover is a postal stationery, which commemorates different flowers and there blooming time. Jean Pierre attached two stamps of the flowers set, which was issued on January 19, 2012. They depict the flowers “Love-lies-bleeding” (Amaranthus caudatus) and arctic alpine forget-me-not (Eritrichium nanum).

The imprinted stamp of the stationery depicts the sunflower species Scorzonera rosea.
