My first cover from Liberia was sent by Alena, thank you! It was posted in Monrovia on October 11 and arrived on October 18, 2018.
The top left stamp is part of a set, which was issued on February 14, 2012. It commemorates the 30th anniversary of SOS Children’s Villages in Liberia. The next stamp commemorates president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (*1938). It is part of a set, which was issued on August 22, 2006. The top right stamp depicts US president Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919); the stamp is part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on May 4, 2009.
The bottom left stamp is part of the set “Traditional Dances and Masks”, which was issued on August 2, 2009. The last stamp is part of the mini-sheet “The Aliens of Star Trek”, which was issued on December 21, 2015.
Alena also included a postcard, which depicts Liberia’s largest lake: Lake Piso.
