#980 Nepal 15/08/??

This very nice registered cover from Nepal was sent by Shanker, thank you! It was posted in Kathmandu and arrived on August 10, 2015.

The stamp on the front was issued on October 9, 2014. It commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the Cho Oyu mountain in 1954.

On the back of the cover there is a mini-sheet attached, which commemorates the birthplace (Lumbini) and other places in the life of Buddha. The mini-sheet was issued on December 9, 2014.

My first cover from Nepal was sent by Dinesh from Kathmandu, thank you! It was posted on April 21 and arrived on May 6, 2013.

There are four stamps attached, which were issued on  September 4, 2012. The stamps are a joint issue of Nepal and Israel and commemorate the highest and lowest places on earth, which are the Mount Everest (8848 m) and the Dead Sea (–423 m).
