#1288 Australian Antarctic Territory 20/03/16
On August 12, 2020 I received this very nice cover from the Australian Antarctic research station on Macquarie Island. It was cancelled on March 16, 2020. A big thank you goes to the postmaster there! The island is part of the state of Tasmania, but the station is managed by the Australian Antarctic Division.
The stamp set was issued on August 20, 2019. It is entitled “Mapping the Australian Antarctic Territory”.

On December 19 I received this beautiful cover from the Australian Antarctic Territory. It was cancelled on October 1 at the Davis Station, many thanks to the postmaster of Davis!
The stamp set was issued on March 7, 2017. It is entitled “East Antarctic Deep Sea Creatures” and depicts the Antarctic sea star (Odontaster validus), the Antarctic neosquid (Alluroteuthis antarcticus), a Pogonophryne ssp. and Antarctic pink anemone (Urticinopsis antarctica), and the Dorid nudibranch (Tritoniella belli) and deep sea coral.

On April 12 I received this beautiful cover from the Australian Antarctic Territory. It was cancelled at Mawson Station on February 20, 2016.
#901 Australian Antarctic Territory 14/12/05
My first cover from the Australian Antarctic Territory was sent with the help of the postmaster at Casey Station, thank you! It was postmarked with a first day cancel on December 5, 2014. On February 12 it was cancelled again in Hobart and finally arrived on February 19, 2015.
The stamps are part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on February 18, 2014. They commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911–1914).
