In November I received a parcel from Switzerland, which was posted in Wil. The postage was paid with 3 of the famous wood stamps (made of fir and issued on September 7, 2004) à 5 franc, a 0.20 franc stamp, a stamp commemorating the Swiss tennis star Roger Federer (issued on April 10, 2007). In addition to the stamps there is a “priority” and a machine label, which shows the exact posting time and the weight of the parcel.
This nice cover has attached one older stamp depicting a breakdown triangle and a pipe tong. It commemorates the Touring Club Suisse (TCS) and the Automobil Club (ACS). The middle stamp is part of the Christmas set issued on November 21, 2008. The right surcharge stamp was issued in 1989 and commemorates and supports the Pro Juventute foundation.

The left stamp has the slogan “Baut hindernisfrei!” (Build without obstacles!). The middle stamp commemorates the Summer Olympics 2008 in Beijing. I depicts a Mountain bike driver; the gold medal was won by French cycler Julien Absalon.
The right stamp shows a vegetable peeler (what a strange theme for a stamp!).
