The “Pansies” stamp set on the right was issued on March 2, 2015.

The mini-sheet was issued on August 30, 2014. It commemorates the fairy tales “Thumbelina” (“Tommelise“) and “Blockhead Hans” (“Klods-Hans“) by Hans Christian Andersen.

Denmark 140818Hans Jørgen sent another nice cover from Denmark, thank you! It was cancelled at the Sydjyllands Postcenter on August 18 and arrived on August 20, 2014.

The bottom left stamp was issued on September 2, 2013. It depicts an artwork of Per Ingemann.

The top middle stamp commemorates the fairy tale “The Nightingale” by Hans Christian Andersen (1805 – 1875). It is part of a set of four, which was issued on June 1, 2012.

The picture depicts the Flame Towers skyscraper in Baku. The 2013 stamp on the backside commemorates the poet Mahsati Ganjavi (ca. 1089-1159).

The middle stamp commemorates the beaver. It was issued on March 8, 2012. The stamp on the right is the 2010 EUROPA stamp (issued on May 6). It commemorates the novel Heidi by Johanna Spyri.

On January 29 I received this registered cover from Ascension Island. It was posted in Georgetown on January 18, 2013.

The attached stamps are part of the Christmas set, which was issued on November 15, 2012. The set commemorates the novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (1812-1870).

Attached on the back of the cover there is the GLS sticker, which shows the date “28.01.2013”. I suppose this letter is one of a few, which are delivered by GLS in Austria.

Ivan sent me this nice cover from Križevci, Croatia. It was posted on July 28 and arrived on August 1, 2011.

The stamp set on top was issued on 15 January 2003 and commemorates the Croatian Fairy World. It depicts the fairies Kosjenka and Tintilinić.

The bottom stamp was issued on 25 March 2003. It commemorates the 600th anniversary of Hrvoje’s Missal.

XU Hui sent me this very nice cover from the People’s Republic of China, thank you! It was posted in Nanchang (南昌) on December 22, 2011, and arrived on January 4, 2012.

The stamp set on the left is entitled “Liangzhu Jade“. It was issued on March 8, 2011.

The right stamp set was issued on 12 June 2010 and commemorates the Kunqu Opera. It depicts scenes from the plays “The Palace of Long Life”, “The Peony Pavilion” (牡丹亭), and “Washing the Silken Gauze” (浣紗記).

The left two stamps commemorate the fish species Cephalopholis sonnerati.

The middle stamp is entitled “Mauritius in World Literature”. It commemorates the writer Alexandre Dumas (1802-70) and his novel “Georges“.

The right stamp commemorates Dr. K. Hazareesingh, the former director of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute and a well-known Mauritian writer.

It was posted on November 25 in Tunis. The top 2005 stamp  commemorates Jebba Karmassoud. The bottom 2009 stamp commemorates the 100th birthday of the poet Aboul-Qacem Echebbi (1909-1934).

It was posted on June 18 and arrived on June 21, 2010. The attached 2002 mini-sheet commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Estonian kroon. The top stamp depicts a part of the 100 krooni banknote showing the poet Lydia Koidula (1843-1886). The bottom stamp depicts a part of the 500 krooni banknote showing the writer Carl Robert Jakobson (1841-1882).

The left two stamps were issued on April 1, 2009, the right one on March 21, 2008. All three commemorate the 200th birthday of Nikolai Gogol (Никола́й/Мико́ла Го́голь; 1809-1852).
