The image and cancellation on the left commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal (Kiel Canal). The right stationery “stamp” commemorates the lighthouse in Holtenau, which has its 125th anniversary too, because it was erected at the entrance of the Kiel Canal.

Frank has sent this beautiful cover from Germany, thank you very much! It was posted in Leinefelde-Worbis on March 8 and arrived on March 10, 2021.

The cover commemorates the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Norddeutsche Seewarte (North German Naval Observatory, now the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany). The postal stationery and the additional stamps depict the research vessel Atair and the lighthouses in Wangerooge and Brunsbüttel.

The left stamp is part of the flower definitive series and depicts a daylily (Hemerocallis sp.). The right stamp commemorates the 250th birthday anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827).

Here is an interesting cover from Germany, which was sent by Ulf, thank you! It was posted on December 30 and arrived on January 3, 2020.

The stamp on the right commemorates the 250 birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). The issue date of the stamp was January 2, so it was already used a few days before it got valid.

Here is another nice cover from Cottbus, Germany, which was delivered by the private post service “RPV Briefservice” and PostNL. Thank you, Ulf for sending this interesting cover! It was posted on April 1 and arrived on April 8, 2019.

The stamps depict the Spremberg Tower of Cottbus and the Brandenburgisches Landesmuseum für moderne Kunst (Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art), which is located in the former diesel power station of Cottbus.

The top left definitive stamp depicts the flower Cardamine pratensis. The top middle and right stamps depict the lighthouses of Kiel-Holtenau and Darßer Ort Natureum.

The postmarks commemorate the schooner Mare Frisium, the museum ship Bussard, the Berlin-class replenishment ship Bonn, and the European championship of the OK-dinghies. All of the postmarks were issued during the course of the Kiel Week.

The stamps are part of the set “Regionale Grüsse aus Cottbus” (regional greetings from C.), which was issued on September 28, 2018. The stamps depict the Gerberhäuser (Tanners’ Houses) and the Staatstheater.
