Costa Rica 151016This very nice airmail from Costa Rica was sent by Erick, thank you! It was posted in Heredia on October 16 and arrived on October 27, 2015.

The left stamp is part of the mini-sheet “Musical Instruments of Guanacaste. The set was issued on July 25, 2007.

The middle stamp was issued on January 30, 2015. It is part of a mini-sheet, which commemorate the 50th anniversary of legal medicine in Costa Rica. The stamp depicts Dr. Alfonso Acosta Guzmán.

The top right stamp depicts Costa Rica’s highest mountain, the Cerro Chirripó (3820 m). The stamp is part of the set “National Parks”, which was issued on August 24, 2009.

The bottom right stamp is part of the “Volcanoes” set (issued on June 24, 2004) and depicts the Arenal Volcano (1670 m).

The left stamp is part of the mini-sheet, which was issued on July 5, 2002 and commemorates the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The part of the mini-sheet on the right commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Ministry of Labour & Social Security. It was issued on August 26, 2008.

Costa Rica 1501xxThis cover from Costa Rica was sent by Enrique, thank you! It was posted in San José on December 30, 2014 and arrived on January 12, 2015. Unfortunately there is no postmark on the cover (Enrique told me, when he had sent).

The stamp set on the top was issued on October 5, 2001. They depict the orchids Cattleya dowiana “Guaria turrialba” and Trichopilia sp. and commemorate the Costa Rican-Spain Stamp Exhibition in San José.

The bottom left stamp is part of a set (issued on December 1, 2014), which commemorates traditional dishes.

The last stamp is part of the mini-sheet “Costa Rican Comic Strips”, which was issued on June 15, 2011.
