Western Sahara 140507Radim sent this nice cover from the Moroccan administered part of the Western Sahara territory, thank you very much! It was posted in El-Aaiún (Laâyoune, العيون) on May 7 and arrived on May 15, 2014.

The stamp is part of a set that was issued on October 1, 2013. It depicts the city of Rabat. On the margin tab the printing date “23.09.13” can be seen.

Cédric sent me this nice cover from Morocco, thank you! It was posted in Fés (فاس‎) on February 28 and arrived on March 6, 2012.

The top left stamp is part of the flora & fauna set, which was issued on 28 May 2011. It depicts a turkey. The top right stamp of 2012 commemorates the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), which took place from 21 January to 12 February 2012 and was won by Zambia.

The bottom stamp is part of the set “Moroccon Currencies”, which was issued on October 20, 2011. It depicts a golden dinar from the year 1145 AD.

The stamps are part of the set “Moroccon Currencies”, which was issued on October 20, 2011. The left coin was issued during the reign of Idris I (reigned from 788 to 791), the middle coin was issued under the last Almoravid king Ishaq Ben’Ali (died 1147), and the right stamp depicts a coin, which was issued under the Almohad caliph Abu Yaqub Yusuf (1135-1184).

The left stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Moroccan ministry of foreign affairs (1956-2006). It was issued on April 26, 2006.

The right stamp is part of the set “Children’s Painting”, which was issued on November 21, 2005. It depicts the painting “Hill, Sea, Sunset and Palm Tree” by Anise Anico.

My parents sent me this postcard from their trip to Morocco in October 2008.

The front side shows the entrance of the Ben Youssef Madrasa in Marrakech. On the back side the stamp “Morocco of Champions”, which was issued on December 28, 2007, is attached.
