The stamps are part of the mini-sheet “Holiday Destinations in India”, which was issued on August 15, 2018. They depict the Stone Chariot in Hampi and the Udaipur City Palace.

The mini-sheet is the EUROPA issue of Madeira and depicts the European goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis) and the Atlantic canary (Serinus canaria).

The left stamp is part of the set “Swiss Railway Stations” (issued on September 6, 2018) and depicts the railway station of Fleurier.

The right stamp is part of the mini-sheet “Card Games”, which was issued on September 6, 2018. It depicts a card of the Swiss Jass game.

The mini-sheet on the left was issued on June 5, 2017. It commemorates the World Environment Day.

The stamp on the top right is part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on June 5, 2007. It depicts farm animals.

The two stamps on the bottom right are part of the set “Labour and Solidarity Day“, which was issued on May 1, 2010.

#1186 Moldova – Transnistria 18/10/12

My first cover from Transnistria (PMR) was sent by Patrik, thank you very much! It was posted in Tiraspol on October 12 and arrived on October 17, 2018.

The stamp sheet was issued on March 31, 2001. It commemorates the corn crake (Crex crex).

Patrik has attached a stamp of the PMR too, which is not valid for international postage and therefore was not cancelled.

My first cover from Liberia was sent by Alena, thank you! It was posted in Monrovia on October 11 and arrived on October 18, 2018.

The top left stamp is part of a set, which was issued on February 14, 2012. It commemorates the 30th anniversary of SOS Children’s Villages in Liberia. The next stamp commemorates president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (*1938). It is part of a set, which was issued on August 22, 2006. The top right stamp depicts US president Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919); the stamp is part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on May 4, 2009.

The bottom left stamp is part of the set “Traditional Dances and Masks”, which was issued on August 2, 2009. The last stamp is part of the mini-sheet “The Aliens of Star Trek”, which was issued on December 21, 2015.

Alena also included a postcard, which depicts Liberia’s largest lake: Lake Piso.

This beautiful first day cover from Japan was sent by Fumiaki, thank you very much! It was posted in Shizuoka (静岡, Kachuo中央) on August 2 and arrived on August 14, 2018.

The stamps are part of the set, which commemorates 150th years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sweden.

In October 2011 I received this registered letter from Curaçao. It was posted on September 23, 2011.

The left stamp is part of the set “Sea Shells”, which was issued on 19 September 2008. It commemorates the shell Strombus gigas.

The right mini-sheet was issued on 25 October 2010. It depicts the sapphire-rumped parrotlet (Touit purpuratus).

The cover is interesting because stamps of two different countries were used. The country Netherlands Antilles was dissolved on 10 October 2010, but the stamps were still valid.

The left stamps are part of the mini-sheets “The Thai Alphabet“, which were issued on July 29, 2011. The stamps depict the characters “ม” and “ย”.

The top right stamp commemorates the National Day and was issued on December 5, 2017.

The bottom right stamps are part of the set “National Children’s Day”, which was issued on January 13, 2018.

Federico has sent this beautiful cover from the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Rome, thank you! It was posted on March 30 and arrived on April 4, 2018.

The mini-sheet (a joint issue with Italy; issued on November 27, 2015) commemorates the San Giovanni Battista Hospital in Rome.

Vítor has sent this beautiful cover from Portugal, thank you! It was posted in Santo António dos Cavaleros on January 8a and arrived on January 10, 2018.

Vítor attached a mini-sheet, which commemorates the city of Cascais, the 2018 European Youth Capital. The mini-sheet was issued on September 8, 2017. It depicts the Santa Marta Lighthouse and the House of Saint Mary in Cascais.

My first cover from Guyana was arranged by Wolfgang and sent by Mark, thank you! It was posted on December 8, 2017 and arrived on January 9, 2018. It was delivered by GLS.

The left stamp depicts a jaguar (Panthera onca). It is part of the definitives set, which was issued on February 26, 2014.

The right stamp was cut out of a mini-sheet, which was issued on December 23, 2013. It commemorates the Dominican ground lizard (Ameiva fuscata).

#1133 Australian Antarctic Territory 17/10/01

On December 19 I received this beautiful cover from the Australian Antarctic Territory. It was cancelled on October 1 at the Davis Station, many thanks to the postmaster of Davis!

The stamp set was issued on March 7, 2017. It is entitled “East Antarctic Deep Sea Creatures” and depicts the Antarctic sea star (Odontaster validus), the Antarctic neosquid (Alluroteuthis antarcticus), a Pogonophryne ssp. and Antarctic pink anemone (Urticinopsis antarctica), and the Dorid nudibranch (Tritoniella belli) and deep sea coral.
