#789 Tristan da Cunha 14/04/01

The philatelic bureau of Tristan da Cunha sent me this nice postcard, thank you! It was posted on April 1 and arrived on May 15, 2014.

The card depicts the location of Tristan da Cunha and two views of the only settlement Edinburgh of the Seven Seas. The stamp on the backside is part of the set “Volcano pt. III”, which was issued on November 11, 2013. It commemorates the 50th anniversary of the resettlement of the island, which was evacuated after the volcanic eruption in 1961.
