This amazing registered cover from Madagascar was sent by Martin, thank you very much! It was posted in Mananara on September 6 and arrived on October 2, 2023.

The top stamps commemorate the Jonah’s mouse lemur (Microcebus jonahi), a species of the comet orchids (Angraecum sororium), and a species of the Catharanthus family.

Here is another beautiful cover sent by Jinesh, thank you! It was posted in Sierra Leone on September 12 and arrived on September 22, 2023.

The stamps depict the birds belted kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon), the giant kingfisher (Megaceryle maxima), and the grey-headed kingfisher (Halcyon leucocephala).

The left stamp depicts the mushroom Russula ingen, the middle stamp depicts the flower of the passion fruit (maracuja, Passiflora edulis), and the right stamp depicts the ruff (Calidris pugnax).

The bird stamps depict the grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus) and the blue-breasted kingfisher (Halcyon malimbica).

My mother has sent this postcard from Ethiopia, thank you! It was posted on January 16, 2019.

The left stamp depicts the Entoto Palace of emperor Menelik II. The next stamp depicts the Ethiopian house snake (Lamprophis erlangeri), the next two stamps depict the Menelik’s bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus meneliki).

The bottom left stamp commemorates the shiny-leaf buckthorn (Rhamnus prinoides), and the next stamp Zoz Amba St. Georges monastery in Gonder.

The left stamp is part of the “Fish” set, which was issued on October 9, 2000. It depicts the tomato hind (Cephalopholis sonnerati). The right stamps is part of the set “Mauritius in World Heritage” and depicts the Le Morne peninsula. The stamp set was issued on April 18, 2011.

#1293 South Sudan 20/09/30

This registered cover from South Sudan is not addressed to me, because there is no international postal service in South Sudan at the moment. It was sent from Juba to Juba and then brought to Austria.

The stamp set was issued on July 21, 2020. It commemorates the international campaign against the Covid-19 pandemic.
