#1232 Algeria 19/01/29

This nice cover from Algeria was sent by Abdelkrim, thank you! It was posted in Bordj El Bahri on January 29 and arrived on February 7, 2019.

The top left stamps depict the Fort Du Phare in Algier. The stamp below depicts a bird of the Serinus species. The middle stamps depicts the common dentex (Dentex dentex), and the right stamp depicts a part of the Mosaique Des Muses, which is hosted in the Archaeological Museum of Cherchell.

The stamps commemorate the Red Sea dascyllus (Dascyllus marginatus), the Orange-lined triggerfish (Balistapus undulatus), and the Picasso triggerfish (Rhinecanthus assasi).

The left stamp commemorates the 100th anniversary of Djibouti’s Chamber of Commerce. It was issued on November 7, 2008. The middle stamp depicts a blacksmith. The stamp was issued on May 14, 2000. The right stamp was issued on August 8, 2005. It commemorates the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Inside the letter a card has been included, which depicts the Dogon village Yougadougourou.

Here is another very nice cover from Chad, thank you Zhang for sending this one! It was posted in N’Djamena on May 8 and arrived on May 29, 2018.

The stamps depict some lions (Panthera leo), a white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum), a springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis), and the sailing ship Prince Royal.

Zhang included a postcard too, which depicts the Place de la Nation in N’Djamena.

The top right stamp depicts US president Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919); the stamp is part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on May 4, 2009.

The bottom left stamp is part of the set “Traditional Dances and Masks”, which was issued on August 2, 2009. The last stamp is part of the mini-sheet “The Aliens of Star Trek”, which was issued on December 21, 2015.

Alena also included a postcard, which depicts Liberia’s largest lake: Lake Piso.
