The left stamp depicts the grey cuckooshrike (Coracina caesia).

The right stamps are part of the set “Lake Malawi”, which was issued on April 25, 2014.

My first cover from Liberia was sent by Alena, thank you! It was posted in Monrovia on October 11 and arrived on October 18, 2018.

The top left stamp is part of a set, which was issued on February 14, 2012. It commemorates the 30th anniversary of SOS Children’s Villages in Liberia. The next stamp commemorates president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (*1938). It is part of a set, which was issued on August 22, 2006. The top right stamp depicts US president Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919); the stamp is part of a mini-sheet, which was issued on May 4, 2009.

The bottom left stamp is part of the set “Traditional Dances and Masks”, which was issued on August 2, 2009. The last stamp is part of the mini-sheet “The Aliens of Star Trek”, which was issued on December 21, 2015.

Alena also included a postcard, which depicts Liberia’s largest lake: Lake Piso.

Rasmane included a postcard, which depicts the Grand Séminaire Saint Pierre Claver de Koumi.

On June 26 I received this nice cover from Ivory Coast, thank you, Barry! It was posted on June 8 in Abidjan.

The left stamp depicts the first post office in Grand-Bassam. The right stamps commemorate the African green pigeon (Treron calvus), although the stamp’s inscription says “Treron Vinago Australis”.

Barry included a nice postcard of Bassam too.

My first cover from Benin was sent by Taouvik, thank you very much! It was posted at the Ganhi market in Cotonou on February 8 and arrived on February 22, 2018.

The stamp commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Behazin High School. It is part of a set of three stamps, which was issued in 2015.

Taouvik included a very nice postcard too.

On my trip to Mauritius I have posted this cover in Moka on October 9. It arrived on October 17, 2017.

The stamp is part of the 2016 set “Freshwater Flora”; it depicts a lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) flower.

The stamps are part of the set “Traditional Musical Instruments”, which was issued on May 24, 2010. They depict a riity of the Fula and a kontingo of the Madinka.
