#949 Kyrgyzstan 15/07/08

Finally I received a cover from Kyrgyzstan with stamps applied! This one was sent by the philatelic bureau of the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), which is the second designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan. The cover was posted in Bishkek on July 8 and arrived on July 13, 2015.

The attached stamp set was issued on November 19, 2014. It is the second stamp issue of KEP and commemorates the fauna of Kyrgyzstan: the saker falcon (Falco cherrug), the yak (Bos grunniens), the Alay Mountains subspecies of the Siberian ibex (Capra sibirica alaiana), and the snow leopard (Panthera uncia).

Nurbek sent me this cover from Kyrgyzstan, thank you! It was posted in Bishkek on January 18 and arrived February 13, 2013.

On the back there is another meter mark:

If anyone has the possibility to send a cover with stamps from Kyrgyzstan, I would be happy! ;)

Thank you, Rustam, for my first cover from Kyrgyzstan! It was posted in Kemin on May 14 and arrived in Graz on June 10, 2010 (travel time nearly one month!).

Rustam told me that Kyrgyzstan post does not allow stamps on covers; a fact sounding strange to me. It would be interesting to know more on this rule—I read about a lot of illegal issues, which could be a good reason.
