St Lucia 150407This nice cover from Saint Lucia was sent by Tristan, thank you! It was posted in Gros Islet on April 7 and arrived on April 15, 2015.

The two stamps on top are part of the “Dragonflies” set, which was issued on April 8, 2013. They depict the dragonfly Tramea abdominalis and the damselfly Rambur’s forktail (Ischnura ramburii).

The bottom stamp was issued on January 1, 2013 and depicts the seagrape Coccoloba uvifera.

The stamps are part of the set “Life in the Pond”, which was issued on April 13, 2011. The stamps depict the Diving Beetle (Cybister rugosus), the Ornate Coraltail (Ceriagrion cerinorubellum), the Common Redbolt (Rhodothemis rufa), and the White-collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris).

Thank you, Miyoshi, for sending this nice cover from Japan! It was posted on June 26 in Tokyo at Asukayama Station (飛鳥山駅) and arrived on July 2, 2012 (Heisei 24).

The left stamp is part of the set “Modern Japanese Art”, which was issued on May 30, 1979. It depicts the painting “Merciful Mother Goddess” by Kanō Hōgai (狩野芳崖; 1828-1888).

The right stamp commemorates the Japanese dragonfly Boninthemis insularis. It is part of the 1977 insects set and was issued on September 14, 1977.

The stamp mini sheet was issued on September 11, 2010. It commemorates the stock pigeon (Columba oenas) and the dragonfly Lesser Emperor (Anax parthenope).

It was posted in Kostajnica on October 8, 2009. The stamps and ornamental tablet depict dragonflies of the order odonata. The stamps were issued by the postal authority of the Republika Srpska.
