The left stamps are part of the definitive series and were issued on November 16, 2009.

The right stamp is a custom one, which can be seen at the different inscription “Liechtensteinische Post AG” and the logo in the top left corner.

The stamp depicts the painting “Diving” by Jean René Bazaine (1904–2001). It was issued on March 18, 2011.

#801 South Korea 14/05/19

South Korea 140519This stunning FDC from South Korea was sent by Koo Sang Bon, thank you very much! It was posted at Dongdaegu Station in Daegu on May 19 and arrived on June 5, 2014. The stamp set commemorates the PHILAKOREA 2014 World Stamp Exhibition. The stamps depict a Minhwa painting, an Hahoe Mask, a children’s dress (Hanbok), an example of the Gungche script style of Hangul, some Onggi pots, a Gayageum (string instrument), a Joseon white porcelain, and eaves as example of Korean architecture.

The left two stamps are part of the set “ANZAC WWII Poster Art”, which was issued on April 2, 2014. The right stamp is part of a mini-sheet that commemorates different architectural styles of New Zealand. The sheet was issued on March 5, 2014.

The left stamp is part of a set, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of Antigua and Barbuda’s independence. It was issued on October 30, 2006. The right stamp is the 2013 Christmas stamp, which depicts the painting “Madonna” by Antonio da Correggio (1489-1534).

The stamp is part of a mini sheet, which depicts the painting “Coronation of the Virgin” by Beato Angelico (1395-1455). It was issued on October 1, 2007.

Japan 130419On 22 April 2013 I received this marvelous registered first day cover, which was sent by Lei Huang, thank you very much! It was posted in Fujigaoka (藤が丘) on April 19.

The mini-sheet commemorates the Philately Week 2013. It depicts the painting “Four Seasons Flowers and Birds” by Kanō Motonobu (狩野 元信; 1476-1559) of the famous Kanō school.

The left stamp depicts the painting “Divining of the Entrails” of Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).

The right stamp is part of a set, which commemorates the 10th memorial anniversary of the death of Princess Diana (1961-1997). The stamp set was issued on October 24, 2007.

The stamps are part of the Christmas set, which was issued on October 31, 2012. The stamps depict the paintings “The Adoration of the Magi” by a German follower of Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) and “The Holy Family”, by the group of Denis Calvaert (1540 – 1619).

Thank you, Miyoshi, for sending this nice cover from Japan! It was posted on June 26 in Tokyo at Asukayama Station (飛鳥山駅) and arrived on July 2, 2012 (Heisei 24).

The left stamp is part of the set “Modern Japanese Art”, which was issued on May 30, 1979. It depicts the painting “Merciful Mother Goddess” by Kanō Hōgai (狩野芳崖; 1828-1888).

The right stamp commemorates the Japanese dragonfly Boninthemis insularis. It is part of the 1977 insects set and was issued on September 14, 1977.

This marvellous first day cover from Japan was posted at Fujigaoka Station in Nagoya on June 1, 2012.

The mini-sheet commemorates the 60th anniversary of the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and the 50th anniversary of the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto.

The green painting on top is entitled “Serving Girl at a Spa”and was made by Tsuchida Bakusen (1887-1936).

The paintings below are (from top left to bottom right):

“Portrait of San’yūtei Enchō” by Kaburaki Kiyokata (1878-1972)

Ivan sent me this nice cover from Križevci, Croatia. It was posted on July 28 and arrived on August 1, 2011.

The stamp set on top was issued on 15 January 2003 and commemorates the Croatian Fairy World. It depicts the fairies Kosjenka and Tintilinić.

The bottom stamp was issued on 25 March 2003. It commemorates the 600th anniversary of Hrvoje’s Missal.

Jean-Pierre sent me this nice cover from France, thank you! It was posted in Tannay, Nièvre, on May 22 and arrived on May 24, 2012.

The mini-sheet was issued on May 14, 2012. It commemorates the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Denain, which was fought on 24 July 1712 between Austria/Dutch and France.

The painting was made by Jean Alaux (1786–1864) in 1839.

Thank you, Simon, for sending this very nice cover from Hamburg, Germany! It was posted on January 24 and arrived on January 26, 2012.

The cover is a postal stationery, which was issued on May 4, 2006. It commemorates the 800th anniversary of the Godesburg. This German castle was founded on October 15, 1210. The cover depicts an aquatint print by Friedrich Salathé reproducing a painting by Karl Bodmer (1809-1893).

Victor sent me this nice cover from Russia, thank you! It was posted in Bozoy of the Irkutsk Oblast on August 4 and arrived on August 17, 2011.

There are two 1998 definitives on the left and a set of two painting stamps on the right. The right stamp set was issued on March 19, 2010. It commemorates the 275th Anniversary of Birth of Fyodor Rokotov (1736-1808). The left stamp depicts a portrait of Knyaz D.M. Golitsyn and the right one a portrait of Countess E.A. Musina-Pushkina.
