Macedonia 08/11/06

macedonia-081106Cover from Macedonia, posted in Skopje on November 6, 2008.

The left stamp (issued October 4, 2007) commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Russian satellite Sputnik 1, which was launched on that date in 1957.

The two stamps at the right were issued on September 6, 2006. They are part of the set “Fauna of Macedonia” and depict the shells Ancylus scalariformis (Stanković & Radoman) and Macedopyrgula pavlovici (Polinski).

Goran, thank you for this nice cover!
