The top middle stamp depicts the Sandvigodden Lighthouse. The middle stamp commemorates the Norwegian Lundehund.

Tanzania 130304My first cover from Tanzania was sent by Hussein, thanks! It was posted in Dar-es-Salaam on March 4 and arrived on March 18, 2013. I think it took some days longer, because Hussein wrote “Australia” instead of “Austria”.

The left stamp is part of a set, which commemorates the material culture of Tanzania. It was issued on February 15, 2012, and depicts Maasai beaded necklaces.

The right stamp is part of the set “Wild Animals of Tanzania”, which was issued on 31 August 2009.

On June 21, 2011, I received this nice cover from Montpellier, France. It was posted on June 15 and the three stamps are part of the set “Purebred Dogs”, which was issued on May 2, 2011. They commemorate the dog breeds German Shepherd Dog (Berger Allemand), Labrador Retriever, and poodle (caniche).

Bertalan sent me this nice cover from Esztergom, Hungary, thank you! It was posted on September 27 and arrived on October 5, 2010.

The left 1975 stamp depicts an icon of the Vatopedi monastery. The bottom left stamps are part of the 2001 set “Antic Furniture”. The middle stamp was issued in 1967 and is part of the set “Hungarian Dogs”; it depicts a Puli. Below is a 2001 charity (jótékonyság) stamp depicting a peacock. The right stamp was issued during the course of the Alps-Adriatic International Stamp Exhibition held in Sopron from March 26 to 28, 2010. It commemorates the 83rd Day of Stamps.

Willie sent me this beautiful registered cover from the USA, thank you! It was posted in Menomonie on August 10 and arrived on August 19, 2010.

There are several UN stamps attached, which have been normally cancelled by US post! Two stamps of the flags series, depicting the flags of Kampuchea and Honduras, and two stamps of the “Human Rights” set.

Two of the US stamps commemorate the Mackinac Bridge, which was issued on February 3, 2010. Three are part of the 2010 set “Animal Rescue”. The two top middle US stamps commemorate the Zion National Park, they were issued on June 28, 2009. The definitive in the middle commemorates the author Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896).

The left stamp is part of the set “Our Living Heritage – Dogs” and was issued on May 9, 2007. It depicts the Hungarian guardian dog breed Komondor. The right stamp is of the set “Our Living Heritage IV” (issued on May 9, 2008) amd depicts the Cikta sheep.
