The cover is a FDC, which was issued on March 23, 2009, and commemorates the “National Year of Environment”.

I received my first cover from Burma/Union of Myanmar on March 17, 2009.

I find this cover very interesting although I hardly can tell something about it. I do not know where it was posted. I hardly could decipher the posting date. Does anybody know what the black cancel with added number “35″ means?

It is funny, that my Burmese friend located Austria within Eastern Europe.

The back of the cover has attached eight stamps: seven à 5 kyat depicting the myanmar xylophone and one 50 kyat stamp depicting the shan pot drum.

The left two stamps depict the plant Feijoa (Acca sellowiana), the right triangle stamp commemorates the plant Tessaria absinthioides.

This beautiful cover from the Czech Republic was sent to me by Milan, thank you!

The two stamps depict a painting resp. an engraving of Antonín Chittussi (1847-1891) and Lucas van Leyden (1494-1533).

The cover was cancelled with a special postmark “100 Let Ob Rekonstrukce Hlavní Pošte” (100 Years Since the Reconstruction of the Main Post Office) in Prag on October 13, 2009.

The two left stamps depicting an anvil and a horseshoe were issued on January 21, 2009. The two right stamps depicting horses were issued on April 15, 2009.

Shrikant sent me this nice cover from Palanpur, India. It was posted on January 12, 2009.

The left stamp was issued on August 2, 2008, and depicts the Aldabra Giant Tortoise (Geochelone gigantea). The middle stamp was issued on October 7, 2008. It wishes a “Happy Deepavali“. Finally, the right two stamps are part of the set “Renewable Energy” (issued on November 22, 2007).

This beautiful FDC from Taiwan was sent to me by H. P. H., thank you very much!

It was issued on February 26, 2009 (Taiwanese year 98), and commemorates the shells of four different mollusks: Strombus sinuatus, Hydatina amplustre, Cymatium hepaticum, and Mitra mitra.

In August I received a parcel from Minsk, Belarus. It was posted on August 6, 2009, and has attached three definitives. The left stamp depicts the European Pine Marten (Martes martes L.).
