Elias sent me this beautiful cover from Greece, thank you! The cover was posted in Heraklion on August 9 and arrived on August 11, 2010.

The left stamp is part of the “Greek Actors”-set, which was issued on February 9, 2009. It commemorates the actor Manos Katrakis (1908-1984). The next stamp was issued on March 14, 2008. It depicts a discus thrower and commemorates the Beijing Summer Olympics 2008. The stamp below depicts the island Kos. It is part of the set “Greek Islands” (issued February 27, 2008).

The right stamp is part of the “Actors”-set too and depicts Aliki Vougiouklaki (1933/34-1996). The last stamp is part of the “Fairy Tales”-set (issued December 16, 2008) and is entitled “The Mermaid and Alexander the Great“.

My first real cover from San Marino was sent to me by Jean Pierre, thank you very much!

It was posted on April 12 and arrived in Graz on April 14, 2010. The two attached stamps are part of the set commemorating the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. They were issued on June 13, 2008.

The FDC and stamps were issued on May 6, 2010. It commemorates “Korea’s Skating Victories at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games“, namely:

Kim Yu Na, who with impeccably perfect form rose to the position of the undisputed queen of world figure skating. Mo Tae Bum, Lee Seung Hoon, and Lee Sang Hwa who emerged as new hopes in speed skating. Lee Jung Su, Sung Si Bak, Lee Ho Suk, Kwak Yoon Gy, Kim Seoung Il, Lee Eun Byul, and Park Seung Hi who carried on Korea’s rightful reputation as the global power in short-track. The left stamps was issued on January 25, 2010. It commemorates the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The right stamp was officially issued on March 2, 2010, and therefore used on this cover before its issue date! It commemorates the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was ratificated on September 2, 1990.

The two stamps on the left were issued 2000 and are part of the set “Antique Furniture”.

The right stamp was issued on April 16, 2008; it is part of the set, which commemorates the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The special postmark of September 25, 2009, commemorates the 125th birthday anniversary of Jószef Rády (1884-1957), who won two Olympic medals in fencing 1924 and 1928.
