The left 2011 stamp is part of the AIDS stamp set. The right stamp was issued 2002 and depicts a trumpet.

Thank you, Simon, for sending this very nice cover from Hamburg, Germany! It was posted on January 24 and arrived on January 26, 2012.

The cover is a postal stationery, which was issued on May 4, 2006. It commemorates the 800th anniversary of the Godesburg. This German castle was founded on October 15, 1210. The cover depicts an aquatint print by Friedrich Salathé reproducing a painting by Karl Bodmer (1809-1893).

The top stamp was issued on May 6, 2011. It is the Hungarian issue of EUROPA series “Forests”.

The bottom stamp is part of the set “Philaclub”, which was issued on December 4, 2009.

The attached stamp commemorates Austrian composer W.A. Mozart (1756-1791). The stamp was issued on August 30, 2011.

My first cover from Tajikistan was sent to me from Victor, thanks a lot! It was posted in Dushanbe (Душанбе) on December 1 and arrived on December 30, 2011.

The left stamp depicts a copper water pot from the 19th century. The stamp is part of a set, which was issued on March 28, 2008.

The two middle stamps are part of a set, which commemorates the cotton plant. It was issued on December 15, 2006.

The two right stamps are part of a set, which was issued on October 3, 2005. It commemorates the 1025 anniversary of the birth of Avicenna (c. 980-1037).

Victor sent me this nice cover from Russia, thank you! It was posted in Bozoy of the Irkutsk Oblast on August 4 and arrived on August 17, 2011.

There are two 1998 definitives on the left and a set of two painting stamps on the right. The right stamp set was issued on March 19, 2010. It commemorates the 275th Anniversary of Birth of Fyodor Rokotov (1736-1808). The left stamp depicts a portrait of Knyaz D.M. Golitsyn and the right one a portrait of Countess E.A. Musina-Pushkina.

The left stamp commemorates the Ochraceous Bulbul (Alophoixus ochraceus).

The right stamps are part of a set, which is entitled “Traditional Pastime Games with Upin and Ipin“, which is an animated TV series in Malaysia.

The left stamp is part of a set which commemorates the centenary of the Romanian Peasant Museum. It depicts a head dress of Argeș. The set was issued on October 5, 2006.

The right stamp is part of a set of mushroom stamps, which was issued on January 18, 2008. It depicts a shaggy parasol (Lepiota rhacodes).

Ouari used a FDC, which was issued on September 25, 2011. It commemorates the “4ème Festival International de la Bande Dessinée Alger” (FIBDA), which was held from October 5 to 8, 2011.

The set of two stamps commemorates the traditional Turkish art of rug making. The set was issued on November 17, 2010.

Thank you, Saša, for sending this beautiful cover from Velenje, Slovenia. It was posted on July 25 and arrived on July 28, 2011.

The mini-sheet on the left was issued on May 27, 2011, and commemorates the Slovenian musician Johann Gerstner (1851-1939). The top right mini-sheet commemorates the 80th anniversary of the KUD Pošta Maribor Brass Band. The stamp was issued on March 25, 2011. Finally, the bottom stamp was issued on March 25 too; it commemorates the Carthusian monastery in Bistra near Vrhnika.

John sent me my first cover from Åland, thank you very much! It was posted in Mariehamn on July 21 and arrived on July 25, 2011.

The attached mini-sheet commemorates the 150th anniversary of Mariehamn, the stamp depicts a portrait of Maria Alexandrovna of Hesse (1824-1880), who gave name to the town. The painting was made in 1857 by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873).

Thank you Andrzej for sending this registered FDC from Poland! It was posted on July 31 in Malbork and arrived on August 4, 2010. The postmark from July 31 was applied on the back.

The FDC and stamp commemorates the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald (July 15, 1410.). The mini-sheet depicts the 1878 painting by Jan Matejko (1838-1893).

Thank you,Khor Kok Keong, for sending this beautiful FDC from Malaysia! It was issued and posted on April 28 and arrived on May 5, 2011. The stamp set is entitled “Setem Ku” and the stamps commemorate the traditional art of woodcarving, a hibiscus flower (Bunga Raya), a traditional kite (Wau Bulan), and the durian fruit.
