This nice airmail cover was sent to me by Patrick, thank you! It was cancelled on May 16 using a special pictorial postmark, which is available only from a special letter-box.

The stamps commemorate the Collared Scops Owl (Otus bakkamoena), the Chinese Hibiscus, and the butterfly Faunis Eumeus.

The left stamp was issued on December 31, 2006; it depicts the collared scops owl (Otus bakkamoena). The middle stamp commemorates the “10th Anniversary of the Reunification of Hong Kong with China”, which was declared in 1997; it is part of a set, which was issued on July 1, 2007. Finally, the right stamp is part of the set “Special Attractions of the 18 Districts in Hong Kong”, which was issued on July 18, 2006. It depicts the Central & Western District.

The stamps were cancelled with a special postmark “Post early for Christmas”.
