Algis sent me this cover from Lithuania, thanks! It was posted in December in Plungė and arrived on December 29, 2011.

The stamp mini sheet was issued on September 11, 2010. It commemorates the stock pigeon (Columba oenas) and the dragonfly Lesser Emperor (Anax parthenope).

This very nice cover from Lithuania was sent to me by Leonardas from Jonava on June 11, 2009, thank you!

The cover commemorates the 80th anniversary of the “Sėla” museum housed in Biržai Castle (Biržų krašto muziejus SĖLA).

The left stamp commemorates a 16th century fisherman’s boat, the kurėnas. The right stamp is part of the EUROPA set, which was issued on April 25, 2009. It commemorates the famous astronomer Galileo Galilei (1564-1642).

Leonardas sent me this beautiful cover from Klaipėda, Lithuania, thank you!

The cover commemorates the Tall Ships’ Races 2009, which took place in the Baltic Sea.

The stamp was issued on July 26, 2009, and the special postmark shows the dates July 31 to August 3, when the races took place in Klaipėda.

Lithuania 090403Thank you, Leonardas, for this nice cover from Lithuania! The cover was posted in Jonava on April 3, 2009.

The cover commemorates the WIPA 08 in Vienna. It has attached three stamps: About the left stamp I already wrote in this article. The middle stamp (1993) depicts the European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis) and the right stamp (1991) depicts the Black Stork (Ciconia nigra).

This beautiful cover has attached a set of three stamps issued on July 3, 1993, depicting the coats of arms of Skuodas, Telšiai, and Klaipėda (top left to right).

In addition there is a stamp depicting a sailing ship with flags of Baltic Sea countries as sails. This stamp was issued on June 25, 1997, and commemorates the second sport games of the Baltic sea countries. The image on the cover is a silhouette of the stamp theme.

Finally, there is a stamp of a set issued in 2007, which commemorates the “Wooden Church Belfries of Lithuania”.

This nice cover has attached the mini-sheet “WWF European Roller”, which was issued on September 6, 2008. It consists of four stamps à 1.35 litas depicting the bird Coracias garrulus.
