Jiří sent me this nice FDC from the Czech Republic, thank you! It was issued on May 26 and commemorates the 150th birthday of Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939).

The cover was posted in Staříč on June 7 and arrived on June 10, 2010.

Thank you, Jan, for sending me this nice Christmas cover from Brno, Czech Republic.

He used the FDC of the Christmas stamp (issued November 4, 2009) and attached another stamp, which was not cancelled. This stamp was issued on April 14, 1999, and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Council of Europe.

In addition to the special postmark of November 4, the cover was cancelled on December 23, 2009.

Milan sent me this nice Christmas cover from Boží Dar in the Czech Republic, thank you! It was cancelled on December 14 with a nice Christmas cancellation.

The right stamp is the 2009 Christmas stamp, which was issued on November 4.

Ceska 091013This beautiful cover from the Czech Republic was sent to me by Milan, thank you!

The two stamps depict a painting resp. an engraving of Antonín Chittussi (1847-1891) and Lucas van Leyden (1494-1533).

The cover was cancelled with a special postmark “100 Let Ob Rekonstrukce Hlavní Pošte” (100 Years Since the Reconstruction of the Main Post Office) in Prag on October 13, 2009.

Milan sent me this nice cover with two different stamps, both issued on November 5: “Christmas Tradition” on the right and a stamp with two coupons attached. It commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Czech post. It shows a painting of Josef Lada (1887-1957). Milan wrote about these stamps in this post.

Airmail cover from the Czech Republic, posted in Kroměříž on October 24, 2008.

The left stamp commemorates the Czech conductor Rafael Kubelík (1914-1996). The right stamp depicts the painting “Opušténá” (1901) of Jaroslav Panuška (1872-1958), which is housed in the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové.

The stamps are of the definitive series depicting the zodiac signs Libra and Aquarius, and of the flower series depicting a cyclamen (“brambořík”) and a rhododendron (“azalka”).
