The two stamps are of the set “Children’s Costume”, which was issued on November 11, 2008. They depict two different customes, one of the Šumadija (Шумадија) region and one of the Kumodraž region. An interesting article on these Serbian stamps can be found here.

china-081231-insideThis nice postal stationery was sent to me by Mr. Xu, thank you! It commemorates the year of the ox. The additional three stamps depict the Taiwan Yuhina (Yuhina brunneiceps).

Inside there was a nice greeting card (see left).

Ouari sent me this nice cover with four different stamps: The two bottom stamps are part of the bridges mini-sheet, which was issued on November 26, 2008. The top left stamp depicts a rock painting of a unicorn cow in Jabbaren in the Tassili N’Ajjer near Djanet.

The top right stamp was issued in 1993; it depicts the royal mausoleum of Mauretania in Tipaza.

This nice cover has attached a part of the 2008 “Bateaux célèbres” (famous ships) mini-sheet. The two right stamps are of the set “Bonnes Fêtes” (Nice holidays), which was issued on November 10, 2008. They have no imprinted value, instead there is the inscription “Lettre prioritaire 20 g” (priority letter of 20 g).

This beautiful FDC commemorates the “30th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up”. The mini-sheet has an interesting perforation. Actually, the left “stamp” forming the “3″ is no stamp, because it has no value and country imprinted. There are two additional definitive stamps of 4.20 yuan attached.

Malaysia 08/12/31

This airmail cover has a triangular 50 sen stamp of 2008, which depicts a kukur kelapa (coconut grater). The mini-sheet on the right commemorates the highland flowers of Malaysia and depicts white and red Rhododendron malayarum.

Many thanks to my Chinese friend, who send me this beautiful folded card commemorating the Year of the Ox!

In addition to the postal stationery value of 1.20 yuan, the four stamps of the 2007 “Mianzhu Woodprint New Year” set are attached. This set was issued on February 10, 2007; the stamps are entitled “The General”, “Mu Guiying“, “Double Kids of Happiness”, and “Zhangxian Shooting at the Heaven Dog”.

The card has the number 391085 and an additional airmail cancel (“par avion”) was applied.

Poland 09/01/12

Kazimierz sent me this nice cover with two stamps of the set “Four Seasons in the painting – creations of disabled artists”, which was issued on April 17, 2002. The left stamp shows a painting by Lucjan Matula, the painting on the right stamp was made by Amanda Zejmis. Personally, I like the paintings very much. Both stamps have a security perforation.

Oliver sent me this nice cover with the stamps of the set “Food Utensils”, which was issued on June 28, 2007. The stamps depict a steamer, a rice bucket with shelf, dinnerware, and rice basket (left to right).
